We have had the pleasure of working with Colonel Grumpy (and the amazing bus and coffee bar) for a few years now. With their Coffee Bus, Ian and his wife Judy aim to increase awareness of the great coffees of Guatemala and, when the bills are paid, give support for the education of needy Guatemalan children. Many people comment on what a good job they do and how they like the "Chapin Blend". So we felt the next step for us was to offer it to a wider audience.
Guatemalan coffee is important to us at JGC. Since our first days in coffee, we have bought and enjoyed it. So I approached Judy and Ian to see if they would be interested.
Chapin Blend
Chapin Blend is a coffee that is what we would define as a dark roast, more time in the drum developing those darker caramelised flavours.San Juan La Laguna is the base coffee, we then add chocolaty coffees , such as Finca Sanfransisco and El Bosque to compliment the roastier element to make a balanced cup, that's still full bodied.
This coffee is really at home in cappuccinos, espresso or cafetiere. The coffee is here because of popular demand.
