Some times, great coffee shouts at you and you just have to get hold of as much as you can! The first time I tasted this coffee (back in the Autumn) it reminded me of good times past, when we used to buy Forteleza, which was rediculously (and rather fantastically intensely) nutty! Since the first taste it has settled some and is now this excellent sweet and balanced coffee, for just about everything we thor at it.

Filter Cup profile :
This is a coffee everyone in the roastery likes. it's a universal happy brew. Light roast and sweet.
Our cupping notes:
Aromatics: Sweet, green and nutty.
Cup: Sweetness, juicy and some cocoa and as the clock turned to 30 minutes we started to get some grainy/ roast wheat notes in the finish.
This lot will be with us for some months to come.
The Pierera family have been farming coffee for a hundred years. In El Carmo, there is a real belief that improvements in the cup are rewarded by having the best coffees as well as
better prices. This is a step away from the traditional mass harvesting and bringing it up to the quality levels of some of the centrals.Customer Reviews
